Triads and Textures
March 7, 2007
Last night I felt like exploring triadic voice-leading on my guitar (again). What started out as an exercise turned into a beautiful harmonic texture. In fact, I like the sound of this exercise so much, I plan to modify it and expand it into a musical piece one day.
The exercise alternates between a B-flat major triad and an E-flat major triad as it ascends and descends the entire fretboard. Try sustaining each note for as long as possible for an even richer texture.
